Here at North Shore Dental we realise that paying for dental treatment, especially when it is not expected, can put a strain on your finances. So we have several options available that can help manage your dental bills.
If you are faced with an unexpected account for treatment, you could consider using one of our payment plan options. These do need to be arranged before treatment starts, so let the dentist or our front desk people know as soon as you know this may be your best option.
These are personalised by the dentist carrying out the treatment, and usually involve a deposit and monthly instalments for 12 – 18 months (depending upon the type of treatment ), or there is a courtesy adjustment of 5% for prepayment. There are no additional fee’s applied as long as payments are kept up to date.
Under the MOH dental health scheme, we are able to offer free dental care for children from year 9 (beginning of secondary school) up to 18 years. There are some conditions that are not covered, but most general care is. Please contact us to enrol your child, or complete the enrolment form and email or post to us.
There are many variations to the type of treatment you need when you have a toothache or have broken a tooth or other type of dental emergency and it is difficult to estimate costs without examining the tooth.
However, there are some fees that we can give you an estimate of, for example
| Routine Adult Exam with X-rays (2) | $97 |
| Hygiene Treatments (usually based on time) | $94 - $132 |
| Fillings are based on the size and the type of material used and typically range from | $187 - $357 |
There are also many types of crowns, bridges and veneers.
Orthodontic work is very individualised and requires a full set of dental records being taken before an idea of the total cost can be given.
Root Canal Treatments and Extractions also depend upon the tooth and how complicated the treatment will be and whether sedation is required.
Whatever treatment you need, you are entitled to a full explanation and estimate of the costs before you start.
